Thermal Power Projects - 2640 MW Amravati Thermal Power Project is being setup at Nandgaonpeth, Amravati District, Maharashtra. It is being developed in two stages of 1320 MW each. The Amravati Power Project will be have 4 units of 660 MW each and will employ state of the art supercritical technology. The project site is located on NH-6, 22 km east of Amravati district capital. The nearest railway station is Badnera, about 20 km from the site, on Wardha-Badnera Electrified line. The water source is Upper Wardha Dam, about 35 km from the project site. The project has received letter of Support from the Govt. of Maharashtra, land and water has also been allotted for the Project. The Project has been allocated coal linkage by CIL and the Environmental Clearance has accorded to the Project by MOEF (Ministry of Environment & Forest). All other clearances, financial closure and equipment order are in advanced stage. Phase-I of the project will be commissioned in the XI plan.
 

Profile of Power - Indiabulls has recently been awarded the Bhaiyathan Power Project by Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board (“CSEB”). The project comes with a captive coal mine of 350 Million Metric Tonnes.

Indiabulls is speeding up various tasks for the development of this mine on a fast-track basis. The Geo-technical Studies, Geological Report & the Mine Plan have already been prepared. On other fronts, the statutory approvals & clearances like Forest Clearance, Mining Lease, Private Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation & Resettlement are in advance stages.

 
Hydro Power Projects -

Indiabulls is currently developing the following four Medium Sized Hydro Electric Projects in the State of Arunachal Pradesh:

  • 60 MW Phanchung Hydro Electric Project
  • 30 MW Tharang Warang Hydropower Project
  • 46 MW Sepla Hydropower Project
  • 31 MW Pichang Hydroelectric Project

The DPR preparation for the above mentioned Projects is at advanced stage.

These projects are envisaged as run of the river project with diurnal storage. The projects are located on various tributaries of River Kameng in East Kameng district. Balukpong, at about 175 KM is the nearest rail head and nearest airfield is available at Tejpur/ Guwahati

The power generated by these Projects will be evacuated by 220 KV line to the pooling point of Kameng Dam HE Project; from where the power shall be fed to Balipara S/S on 400 KV systems; which is connected to National Grid.
