News Title: New condos going up in Frisco Date:2010-02-26
Description: FRISCO — Developer Larry Feldman is set to build Boulevard Bend, a 22-unit condominium complex including four affordable homes on 8th Avenue across from the Lake Dillon Fire-Rescue firehouse. Town council and Frisco's planning commission have approved all aspects of the project, and Feldman said he'll break ground in June.

An important aspect of the development is a public park to be built by Feldman in the town right-of-way on Teller Street. He said the park will incorporate a small waterfall, a creek bed, landscaping, and a small museum to teach people about Masontown — a mining settlement on the side of Mount Royal destroyed by an avalanche in 1912.

In exchange for use of the town right-of-way, Feldman agreed to build four affordable units instead of the required three.

Town manager Michael Penny said the park will be managed by the condo complex's homeowner's association.

Boulevard Bend will offer 12 1,900-square-foot townhomes, each with a two-car garage and two more covered spaces. Eight one-bedroom units will also have covered parking — four of which will be the affordable units.

“Everything we do will be high quality, including the windows,” Feldman said, noting that the condos will have granite counters and stainless-steel appliances. Boulevard Bend will also feature a decorative clock tower.

Feldman said he plans to complete the development around Christmas, and pre-sales are an option for interested buyers. Pricing starts at $189,000, he said.

Past developments in Frisco by Feldman include Mountain Side and Mountain Pines. He also constructed the Dillon Ridge Market Place.

Boulevard Bend will be located on the site of the old brown cabins, which were demolished a few years ago.
